Eligibility Requirements for Affiliated Professional - Physician Assistant
To be eligible for AAOS Affiliated Professional - Physician Assistant membership, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be recommended for membership by an AAOS Fellow or Member who provides you with supervision
- Are a Certified Physician Assistant employed in the U.S. or Canada
- Comply with the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policy statements as adopted by the AAOS Fellowship and Board of Directors

Before you begin your application have the following information and documents available:
- Education information
- Certification, license, and practice information
- Name of sponsoring AAOS Fellow/Full Associate Member for whom you work
- Society memberships
- Curriculum vitae (pdf to upload)
Your AAOS membership runs the calendar year, January 1 to December 31. Membership dues are automatically billed every October for the upcoming membership cycle.
Applications not completed within 30 days of the start of the application will be deleted.
