How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has helped me by providing a framework for education while I was a resident and fellow. It has also provided advocacy and career advancement.

As an Active Fellow Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?

I read the AAOS Now pretty regularly to get quick points of interest and I recently participated in the NOLC.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Be quiet and listen before you speak.” I'm not a soft-spoken person, and I constantly try to remember that. I got that advice from a high school and college mentor of mine.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

Go somewhere quiet with a big table or desk, put on headphones, play instrumental music, and get to work.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I'm trying to read more nonfiction.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?

Running, cooking, and playing with my two kids.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
Before I decided to go to medical school and eventually orthopedic surgery, I was a musical theatre major in college.
