How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has been instrumental in serving as a pillar for education and providing resources. My knowledge base and awareness of the latest trends constantly improves and evolves with the numerous learning  materials provided by the Academy. In addition, the AAOS helps provide a platform for networking and collaborating with other surgeons, allowing us to connect and learn from one another.

As an Active Fellow Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
As an Active Fellow Member, the resources I use most include the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and AAOS Now, both of which help keep me up-to-date with current trends, research and the latest news within our specialty.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I was given in regard to practicing my specialty and taking care of patients is to 1) Always take the time to listen to people and understand them, 2) To not take shortcuts, 3) To always do the right thing (even if it's not the most pleasant or easiest route) and 4) to treat everyone around you with the utmost respect and attention. These pearls were taught to me in different ways by my family and my mentors in New York and Philadelphia, where I trained.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My go-to productivity trick is to always be prepared. Whether it's in the office or in the operating room. Take the time to formulate a game plan and agenda for whatever it is you're tackling that day.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
One thing that I am currently trying to make a habit of is slowing down! Running a busy practice, answering a million daily calls/texts and trying to spend consistent quality time with my family and friends can be very overwhelming. I think it is important to sometimes slow down, appreciate the moment, appreciate what's in front of you, and not let time pass by too fast.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
My favorite hobbies at the moment are traveling with my family, getting lost in foreign cities, story time with my 2-year-old daughter, and exercise.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
One fun fact about me is that I am an identical twin.
