How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS helped me stay connected to the latest advances in orthopaedic surgery, research, and clinical innovation, which has been my passion. It provided valuable opportunities such as top-notch professional education, networking, sharing knowledge with leaders in the field. My first ever international podium presentation was at an Annual Meeting and was attended by 2000+ surgeons from all over the world. My involvement with AAOS since 2010 has strengthened my expertise, broadened my perspective, and inspired me to pursue better outcomes for patients.

As an Affiliate Orthopaedic Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I most frequently use AAOS clinical guidelines, and Orthopaedic Knowledge Online (OKO) to stay current with evidence-based orthopaedic practice. These resources provide trusted, regularly updated information on diagnosis, treatment, surgical techniques, and emerging standards of care. They help me make informed clinical decisions, enhance patient care, and stay connected with advances across orthopaedics.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I ever received was: “Always choose integrity over convenience.” It came from my fellowship mentor who taught me that character matters more than short-term success. That advice continues to guide my decisions, relationships, and long-term goals.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My go-to productivity trick is prioritization—focus on what truly matters and eliminate distractions. As a surgeon, I apply the same principle: prepare thoroughly, stay focused, and make one precise decision at a time. In life and surgery, consistency, discipline, and calm focus turn small actions into exceptional results.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I’m building the habit of being intentional about every decision, both in life and in the operating room. As a surgeon, I’m striving to stay continuously curious, disciplined, and focused on improving patient outcomes. Every day, I want to become a little better—more precise in surgery, more present with people, and more balanced in life.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy staying active as a president and CEO of Gifted Genes Institute, entertaining my curious mind through gene-based research, tech development, and education in arthritis, longevity, wellness, and human performance.

As a surgeon, I value hobbies like tennis and tourism, which help maintain physical fitness, mental clarity, creativity, and balance alongside a demanding professional life.

As a family man, I also enjoy staying active together through tennis, singing, and yoga while spending quality time with family and friends, which keeps me energized and inspired both personally and professionally.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I love discovering the science and secrets behind healthy genes and happiness, but my favorite experiment is practicing it every day. I have designed a mobile app to help others discover theirs, written books, blogs and made presentations at NASA in front of renowned noble laureates. As a surgeon and wellness expert, I’m fascinated by how our mood, mind, and lifestyle shape our performance, success and wellbeing. I believe honesty, curiosity, and gratitude are some of the best “prescriptions” in a stress-free successful life!
