How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
From my residency training in South Korea through my fellowships in the U.S., AAOS Annual Meeting has been an invaluable opportunity to deepen my orthopaedic knowledge and connect with surgeons from around the world. Being part of AAOS and continuing to learn from the AAOS community throughout my career has helped me grow not only as a surgeon, but also as an educator and researcher.

As an Affiliate Orthopaedic Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The AAOS Annual Meeting is always a great resource for staying up to date on orthopaedic knowledge and surgical techniques. Beyond the Annual Meeting, one of my favorite AAOS resources is the Orthopaedic Video Theater, which provides valuable surgical tips and practical insights. JAAOS is also a great resource for learning from our peers.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Treat every patient as you would your own family members.” I learned this from one of my mentors in medical school, and it has been a guiding principle in how I care for my patients ever since.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
No magic trick—just keep moving. Slow is fine, as long as I stay steady! And I know the sooner I get the work done, the sooner family time begins. That’s my best motivation to stay focused!

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Reading more! Books, articles, or anything that catches my curiosity.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Talking with my wife, spending time with my daughter whenever she can fit me into her busy schedule, and traveling with my family are always the best. The endless photos on my digital frame can prove it!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
Believe it or not, I’m much funnier than people think. Only a select few know it, though!
