How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has provided me with numerous opportunities for professional development, including access to exclusive courses and webinars throughout my residency training. Attending the AAOS annual meetings provides an opportunity to network with colleagues and stay current with practice trends.

As a Candidate Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I frequently reference the AAOS Clinical Practice Guidelines and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (JAAOS) to stay up-to-date with ongoing research and recommendations in the field. I also utilize the various patient education materials available through the OrthoInfo website.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My father immigrated to the United States in his late 20’s and worked as a Taxi driver while learning English and studying for his Dental Boards. After achieving a successful career in the U.S. he always used to tell me that "nothing in life is given but instead must be earned".

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I have a running “To Do” list in the Notes App on my phone. I organize the list from most-important to least-important and whenever I have some free time, I will try to complete as many tasks as possible. This helps to keep me both motivated and organized.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I am trying to spend more time outdoors. I am especially trying to take advantage of the weather during the Summer months by playing golf, going for walks, and doing yard-work.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling to new places and try to take one international trip a year. Some of my favorite places to explore were China, New Zealand, Croatia, Slovenia, and Peru! Locally, I enjoy trying to improve my golf game and spending time with my wife and dog.
