How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has been instrumental in my journey in orthopaedics, from medical school to residency. As a medical student, its resources helped me build meaningful connections within the orthopaedic community that played a role in matching at my dream program. Now, as a resident, resources like ResStudy and JAAOS have been valuable throughout my training, providing accessible, high-yield review material that helps me build my orthopaedic knowledge.

As a Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
JAAOS review articles and ResStudy.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My dad, who is also an orthopaedic surgeon, always reminds me that some of his favorite memories are from residency and that the best bonds come from working hard alongside your coresidents. I keep this perspective in mind through both the good and challenging days of training, and it reminds me to embrace the journey, find joy in the process, and appreciate the people I get to share it with.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My favorite productivity trick is writing out a daily to-do list, even for the smallest tasks. There’s something so satisfying about physically checking off each box!

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
A habit I am trying to keep up with is competing with my mom in the New York Times mini crossword every morning.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love to watch college football and cheer on my Oregon Ducks! I also enjoy running, skiing, weightlifting, and spending time with my pets and family

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
My family has four rescued miniature donkeys. They are like big, cuddly dogs!
