Why haven't I received myJAAOSJournal? 

After 20 years of print and online issues, JAAOS is now all-digital. The final print issue distributed was the December 15, 2025, issue. This transition represents a significant advancement in our commitment to enhancing the dissemination of knowledge, access to critical musculoskeletal research, and fostering a more dynamic and collaborative exchange of ideas related to the latest advancements in orthopaedics and the evolving landscape of clinical practice and public health.

How do I accessJAAOSonline? 

Members can log in and access the JAAOS site directly here

If your web browser doesn’t redirect to the journals site, you can also go to the journals site landing page and click “log in” in the upper-right corner.

When you see the following popup box, AAOS Members should click “AAOS MEMBERS – LOG IN.” Non-member subscribers can use the “Individual Subscribers” link.

To verify that you have logged in correctly, look for your name at the top of the screen. It should take the place of the log-in link.

 

What features does JAAOS online offer? 

JAAOS continues to offer an enhanced reader experience including high-quality images available for download, audio format for easy listening, copying function for easy citation, sharing options, and permissions via RightsLink. JAAOS also allows for more in-depth content such as two podcasts, a blog, article-based videos, infographics, visual abstracts, and more, providing readers with a variety of options for engaging and exploring the content.  

 

How can I stay updated as journal content is published online? 

Once logged in, readers can sign up for the journal’s electronic table of contents in their personal profile. You can also add your email address to the eTOC mailing list using the link at the bottom-right corner of the JAAOS landing page

Logged-in readers can also sign up for new article alerts in their personal profile. 

 

Are any other AAOS publications printed? 

Yes. AAOS Now, the monthly exclusive member news magazine from the AAOS, is currently available in both a printed (quarterly) and online (monthly) format. And most AAOS books are available in both print and digital formats.

 

How do I download the JAAOS app? 

The JAAOS app is no longer available for download. However, the latest version of the JAAOS website uses responsive design and a mobile-friendly format, making it easy to browse journal content on any device.

 

What do I need to do if I change my email address? 

Navigate to the "My Personal Profile" tab of your AAOS account page. Update your contact information under “Review and Update Profile.” 

Please allow 4 weeks for the new email address to update across the platform and display journal access. If you experience any issues accessing the journal, please contact the AAOS Service Center.

 

How can I receive JAAOS-related CME credits?  

JAAOS CME: CME is a free member benefit available through select JAAOS articles. AAOS Members logged into the journals site are automatically enrolled in the Lippincott CME Connection without charge, which allows readers to take a test articles to claim credit. Look for the CME icon on any article, and when you click it, you will automatically log into Lippincott CME Connection. If this is your first time accessing Lippincott CME Connection or you have not used the site for some time, you may be asked to verify your email address before entering. If this is the case, check your spam folder so you don’t miss the verification email. 

Webinar CME: JAAOS Plus webinars are also free of charge as an AAOS Member benefit. You can sign up for an upcoming webinar on the calendar page, while replays are available on the AAOS learning platform (you need to be logged in to access). If you did not register for a webinar in advance, contact the AAOS Service Center

Reviewer CME: Reviewers for JAAOS and JAAOS Global Research & Reviews can request CME directly via Editorial Manager. 

Author CME: Acting as the lead author (first listed) in a published, peer-reviewed JAAOS article is an activity eligible for CME credit. Contact the American Medical Association (AMA) directly for more information. 

 

Can I access Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR) if I am an AAOS member?  

Yes, if you are an AAOS member, you will have online access to CORR.  

Simply use your AAOS login credentials and navigate to theCORR Journal.  

 

How do I download my eBook? 

Individuals who have printed books purchased from Wolters Kluwer/Lippincott need to check the inside cover. There is a sticker "Access Your Enhanced eBook" with instructions and a scratch code.  

You can also set up an account and follow the instructions. Once you have an account, you will be able to redeem your eBook. 

Where do I find information on the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program?  

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS)program is published byJones & Barlett Learning.  

 

Where can I buy Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care?  

Essentials of Musculoskeletal Care has been published byJones & Barlett Learning since 2018.

How do I get my additional 50 CME credits for the OKU® book purchase in addition to the OKU exam?   

The extra credit is only valid if you have purchased the OKU® book and SAE exam together (directly from Wolters Kluwer). The package includes a card for “Self-Assessment Examination Access.” Follow the instructions to validate your AAOS exam access. Once you complete your 20 SAE credits exam, the extra 50 CME credits should be added to your account automatically.

Can I access the Bone & Joint Journal (BJJ) if I am an AAOS member?  

Yes, you can access the BJJ if you are an AAOS resident member and based in the United States. Simply use your AAOS login credentials and navigate to the  Bone & Joint Journal.
